my story

I wrote my first song when I was 45. It wasn’t for anyone else to hear. It was a way to work through grief after my mother died.

More than ten years later, songwriting is still a form of therapy for me. It’s part of who I am and how I make sense of things that are hard to name. I write to connect with listeners and with experiences we share: love, time, the search for meaning, and acceptance.
